S making progress on Bethune potash mine

The $4.1 billion Legacy solution potash mine being built by K+S Potash Canada on the edge of the Qu’Appelle Valley near Bethune, about 75 km northwest of Regina, is still on track and on budget to meet its goal of producing potash by the end of next year.

By summer of 2016, however, the processing equipment, which turns the salty potash brine into three distinct potash products, will be housed in large buildings. Then begins the painstaking process of making the equipment work, with the objective of commissioning

"There’s a lot happening, The plant is taking shape. By the end of the summer all of the equipment will be there; it just won’t be closed in. But there’s a lot of intermediate milestones setting up the major equipment, construction completion on the steel.
